1. Where are you from?
I was born in Cabiao Nueva Ecija, Philippines. My family moved to California in 1997.
2. How long have you been working as an illustrator?
I've been working as a professional illustrator for 11 years now. I dropped out of high school
during my sophomore year, got my GED and started freelancing. My first serious editorial gig
was from GQ Magazine.
3. Who are the artists that have influenced your work?
The first artist that inspired me to pursue a career in editorial illustration was Jillian Tamaki.
I will always be thankful for her inspirational work. Other illustrators I look up to are Tomer and
Asaf Hanuka, Raymond Lemstra, Stefan Glerum, Hellen Jo, Kali Ciesemier, and Killian Eng.
4. What drawing equipment/programs do you use?
Graphite pencils for preliminary sketches. Clean-up and inking are done with Photoshop.
90% of my illustrations are finished digitally.

I post original artwork in my online store about once a year. The best way to get updates on
sales is through my instagram ( I'm not present on any other social media platforms)
